Desi Chinese Food Recipe – Sesame Chicken You Can’t Say No To

We all love Chinese food! In India, Chinese is cooked in unique ways and it leaves us wanting for more. This recipe is inspired by the various versions of Chinese food I’ve tasted across states and even countries! It is easy to make, power packed with flavors and will surely leave you wanting for more.

 INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gms boneless chicken
  • Two onions, cut into large pieces (see video)
  • 8 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 capsicum, diced
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
  • 5 whole green chillies
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp pepper powder
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • chopped spring onion leaves, for garnish.

PROCEDURE

Before cooking:

Dip the chicken pieces in cornflour with a little water and fry it in oil. Keep it aside.

Process:

  • Add oil to a pan.
  • Add the crushed garlic.
  • Put in the onions and fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the chopped capsicum and cook.
  • Time to add the fried chicken.
  • Add soy sauce and sprinkle some sesame seeds over it.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Pour in some cornflour mixed with water for the desired consistency.
  • Cook till the chicken is tender.
  • Garnish with fresh spring onion leaves.
