Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
The Privacy Policy page explains what happens to your information when you use slurrp.club. I’m Bhaswati, and I run the site by myself.
If something is unclear, write to me at slurrpilicious@gmail.com and I’ll explain it.
What I collect
Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe, I get your name and email address. The form emails them to me and also saves them on the site. I use them to send you recipes and updates, and for nothing else. Every email will have an unsubscribe link, and you can also just write to me and ask to be removed.
Contact form. Your name, email and message come to my inbox and are saved on the site so I don’t lose them. I use them to reply to you.
Comments. When you comment, I collect the name, email address and comment you type. Your email is never shown. WordPress, the software the site runs on, also records your IP address and browser details with each comment, which helps me spot spam. I read and approve comments before they appear. If your email is linked to a Gravatar profile, your Gravatar picture can show up next to your comment.
Visit data. I use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to see how people find the site: which pages get read, what device you’re on, roughly which city or country you’re in. It doesn’t tell me who you are. Google sets cookies to do this.
Saved recipes. The heart you tap on a recipe is remembered in your own browser. It doesn’t come to me, and clearing your browser data removes it.
I don’t have user accounts, I don’t take payments on the site, and I don’t want sensitive information from you, so please don’t send any in a comment or message.
Who else sees your visit
Some parts of the site come from other companies, and they get certain data when your browser loads them. Each has its own policy, and I’ve linked the ones that matter.
Google AdSense shows the ads on this site. Google and its ad partners use cookies to pick ads based on your visits to this site and others, and to count how many people saw them. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of some other companies’ ad cookies at aboutads.info. You can read how Google uses data from sites like this one at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
YouTube. My recipe videos play inside the site. Once you press play, YouTube can set its own cookies. If you never play a video, none of that happens.
Instagram. The photo feed on the homepage is pulled from my Instagram account (@slurrpilicious), so Instagram and its parent company Meta can see that your browser asked for those pictures.
GoDaddy hosts the site, so the server it runs on keeps ordinary access logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
I don’t sell your information, and I don’t hand your email address to anyone.
Affiliate links
I have an Amazon storefront, and I tag products in my YouTube videos. Some of those links and tags are affiliate links. If you buy through one, Amazon pays me a small commission, and the price you pay doesn’t change. Amazon sets a cookie in your browser when you click, which is how it knows the sale came from me.
I’m an Amazon Associate, so I earn from qualifying purchases.
I only link to things I’ve used in my own kitchen or would use. If I ever publish a sponsored post, it will say so at the top.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. On this site they come mostly from Google (analytics and ads), YouTube (if you play a video) and Amazon (if you click an affiliate link). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The recipes will still work, though some features may behave differently, and you’ll still see ads, just less personal ones.
Your choices
You can ask me what I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to slurrpilicious@gmail.com and I’ll do it. I’ll need to keep a record of a comment if it’s part of a longer conversation with other readers, but I can remove your name and email from it.
If you live in a place with its own data protection law, such as the EU, the UK or India, you have rights under it, and I’ll honour them.
Children
The site is written for adults who cook. I don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you’re a parent and you think your child has sent me something, write to me and I’ll delete it.
Changes
If I add a new tool or change how something works, I’ll update this page and the date at the top. For the newsletter, I’m still choosing an email service, and I’ll name it here once I have.
