I absolutely love Mexican food! And this love has is new as I got exposed to this cuisine only recently.
Tacos have to be one of my favorite food when it comes to global cuisine favourites. The reason why I have come to like Mexican cuisine so much is because everything is so fresh and refreshing!
So here is the recipe of crispy chicken tacos that I make at home. This is a crunchy taco shell recipe, you can replace it with soft tacos as well.
INGREDIENTS
200 gas boneless shredded chicken
Salt to taste
1 tsp black pepper powder
100 gms bread crumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp taco seasoning mix
1 cucumber, chopped
Lettuce
Grated cheese
PROCEDURE
For the chicken:
- In a bowl, mix the shredded and boneless chicken with some salt, pepper and bread crumbs.
- Throw in one beaten egg into this and mix well.
- In a pan, heat oil and fry these chicken pieces till they are crispy. Set it aside.
For the taco sauce:
- In a pan, heat oil and add the chopped onions.
- Fry this for about two minutes and add the chopped tomatoes.
- Stir this till tomato melts.
- Add the taco seasoning mix and stir well.
Final step:
- Taje a crispa taco shell. Fill it with the taco sauce, followed by some. crispy chicken.
- Add a final layer of cucumber, tomato and lettuce on top.
- Add some grated cheese and voila! Your taco is ready!
You can also add some sour cream to this. But I liked mine without it.
